As winter approaches, please remind me not to be annoying and say things like "hey! It's 80 degrees and sunny today in Florida!" ok? Thanks.
I think the last time I came to WI in the winter (Jan/Feb) was in 2000? OMG! I had to borrow a friend's ski-jacket, I had NO boots, just tennies to wear.....driving gloves only...had to hit the mall leaving the airport in Appleton to find warm stuff to wear. Brrrr.....I am the biggest baby when it comes to cold and snow and ice! Even when I lived up there!
I DO love the beauty of it though....maybe we can talk tamed into changing her avatar a lot with some of her wonderful photography! :}
speaking of tamed....thanks for the 'cakes! YUM! Publix had a sale on Mangos yesterday...2 for $1, so here's a huge platter of sliced fresh Mango to go with! I seriously have a basket full of mangos....geez!

Thanks, I just got word moments ago that they will be doing open heart surgery on my mom at 2pm today, i will be leaving work shortly for the hospital.

Moms surgery went well, but they cant stabilize her blood pressure.
An hour before i left the hospital she had some complications, lots of pain & swelling around the area they cut, it was better & she was resting when i left. Her boyfriend, My oldest sister who came from up north & my niece all stayed with her for the night & i offered to stay tomorrow night, we just dont want her to be alone and want someone there to call the rest of us if need be.
It's been another long day, i just got in from the hospital & exhausted... Have a good night all
At least heart surgery these days has progressed to the point where it is almost routine and alot safer than it was even 10 years ago.
The doctor may do the surgery but recovery is God's work. She's in good hands.
