I finally got a hold of the guy and we are going to meet tomorrow so I can give him his reward...and as it turns out, we are some what distantly related too!
First of all, his mom is friend's with one of my sister's and this friend also had a daughter with my brother, so the guy who found the money is a step-brother to my niece. Does that make sense?

Nope...I don't know him. I knew his mom about 25 years ago but didn't even realize she had a son other than the one who died in the car accident a couple years back.

The swelling is less than the first time, so it didnt hurt quite as bad, but it did hurt pretty bad. Now i have it on a heating pad, will ice it later for swelling, will take pain killers in a bit... it's hurting but nothing like the first time... Thanks for asking hun

I just found a recipe for peanut brittle with bacon and then it's covered in chocolate. I don't know if that would be good or not. I'm somewhat fascinated by the whole sweet and salty combination.

I love peanut brittle, bacon & chocolate, but mixing the three doesn't sound good to me... let me know how that turns out, if you decide to try it.
You know I will probably try it to find out. I'm not sure when I will. It seems bacon is a popular food to experiment with lately. I've seen bacon weaves, bacon cups and bacon burgers (ground bacon made into a patty). I've seen bacon used in chocolate bars. A whole lot of artery clogging going on. I've even come across bacon seasoning salt in the grocery store. I need to buy that once. I can see putting that on different foods.
I make these cornmeal muffins with bacon in them and then they are filled with jam. I love the sweet and salty together. Something about mixing sweet and salty or hot together. Raspberry salsa with salty chips (hot, sweet and salty at once). Now if I could find some more of the overpriced salsa again. It was $8 a jar.
Once I had a strange burger in Washington, but it was good. It had bacon, blue cheese, swiss cheese, jalepenos and a brown sugar glaze on. It was the sweet, hot and salty thing together that worked. I know it sounds kind of weird, but I liked it.

that sounds so good, i'd want the jalapenos crushed or something, i cant stand biting into a chunk of jalapeno, it's a texture thing i guess, but i like jalapeno taste.
Thanks.. I had a big check to deposit so had to head out to the bank.. started pouring on the way back. I got a couple nice things at the thrift store tho.
After I got home we had a brief bit of really heavy rain and some hail but has tapered off at the moment.
Planning to lay low tonight and tomorrow and catch up on some movies..
Watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua last night, not really my thing but the neighbors enjoyed it.

Hmm...I don't like peanut brittle and I don't care for bacon too much, but I will definitely take the chocolate any day!
