He's back; nothing to bad, I had a big argument with the table saw last weekend, and lost big time! Of course we were having the whole dang family over about an hour before it happened, and they all got to see me come home from the hospital! No big deal, this is another thing I can blame on Catholic school, when I was a kid the Nun's thought if you were left handed, you would grow up to be a crook. So while learning to write, I had to sit on my left hand. FYI I always got bad grades in
penmanship, to this day I do everything else with my left hand, but it does still get confusing once in a while. Just goes to show you; do not try to convince your table saw that it is a band saw, it wins the fight everytime! Hi Folk's glad to hear I was at least missed by some.
Glad you are ok & happy to see you are back! That's a crazy story about sitting on the left hand & them thinking left handed = crook! My son is left handed, his dad was as well.

Welcome Back!
Yeah well; you went to Catholic school, you know how they can be!

mmm yes the bbq pork there is very good, i agree with your husband on the comedies though
We decided to watch the musical "Mama Mia" tonight. Yep...my husband wanted to watch it even though he hates musicals. Back in the day, he was a big ABBA fan and still listens to their CD when ever he drives my van.

Glad to see you are back Hawkins. Hope you are doing okay. So...how many stitches did you end up having?
Did y'all check your Powerball tickets for tonight? I had three of the numbers so I guess I won $7 but since I chose the Power Play option and the number was "5", then I actually won $35. If I'd gotten one more number, I'd have won $500. Darn it.
Latina, did you buy a Megabucks ticket for tonight? Some one bought the winning ticket for 5.6 million in Dane County!
Yeah well; you went to Catholic school, you know how they can be!
I was young, i remember the nuns being rude and scary at times though. I guess i never seen anyone left handed in class or they didn't do that there... just so sad.

No stitches, the slice was to wide, they pushed what the could together and taped the heck out of it. Now I'm really limited to how fast I can't type.
Where is that Slow Typer guy anyway?

Your pretty lucky there Lou Who, rub some of that stuff off & mail it to me in an envelope. I can spend a hundred dollars on those things & maybe, if I was really lucky that day I'd win a free ticket!

Hawkins, glad to see you're able to type and hope you heal quickly. My son tried to remove the end of his thumb with a table saw a couple months ago. He succeeded for the most part.
Good morning, my fellow Bubbles! Supposed to rain today, but at least it's relatively warm.
Two of the grandkids are having a sleep over...so I'm sneaking in some computer time while they're down for the count. Yikes! They definitely keep a person busy.
I doubled my money on a scratch off card at the gas station yesterday. Too bad it was only a $1 card.
I'm guessing that he took the weekend off. The weather is getting nice, i suppose all the forums start slowing down a bit, with being able to do more outside.

On a $1 ticket i usually dont win much more than my $1 back, although i once won $300 on a $5 ticket... I want to start buying the big winner tickets, like mega & powerball, but i have never played & wouldn't have a clue where to begin.
I would kill for Rhubarb right now! I sure do miss it! I just sawsome at Publix when I was grocery shopping and they just got some in! It's $6.99 a pound THIS year, last year it was "only" 5.99.
The 1st package I saw on the top, cut and wrapped and dried out looking was $7.56.
I think I'll pass.
That crazy! Rhubarb requires no care and one plant produces a lot of leaves. I have to give the stuff away to whoever will take it because I get so much. One year I made the mistake of letting my former neighbor help himself to a "little" rhubarb. This was before I had gotten out there to get any myself. He ended up almost stripping my plant completely clean. I was left with a few skinny little stems. Boy, was I mad! I had to wait until more of the plant grew back in to get any for my desserts. Never again will I let anyone help themselves.

What is with nuns not liking lefties. My husband is Catholic and a lefty. They tried to get him to switch, too. He does some thing left handed like write and eat, but other things he does right handed. Were there any nice nuns out there? I'm not Catholic, so I don't know. I never hear anything good.

Oh, I loved Mama Mia. A very fun movie. I like musicals as long as the entire movie isn't all sung. It works better if there is talking and singing mixed. Abba's music works well as a musical. Meryl Streep was great.
I just saw Slumdog Millionaire and I liked that. Another movie that looks good and is coming out later this year is Betty Anne Waters. It's about a woman who goes to law school to help her brother who was wrongfully convicted of murder. Hillary Swank is the star of the movie and it's based on a true story.
I just remembered our strange night last night. We had gone to Madison to see 2 bands and when the second band came on the power went out during the first couple of songs. It only lasted a minute and then it was back to having fun. A couple more songs later the power goes out again. It stayed off this time. Everyone ended up getting booted out of the bar. That kind of sucked since we all paid to get in and got only half a night out of it.

Thanks, yep I split my thumb print clean in to; I guess I'll have to go get new finger prints in case I ever get lost.

I know a couple of nuns that were nice; in the second grade I had Sister Elenore, she was a great nun. She played baseball with us in the street after school, really funny thing was she wore black hightop sneekers, and could run bases like nobody else.

Hi all...been so busy with things this weekend that I have not had time to really check this topic out and now I feel so behind. lol
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Anyways, I just wanted to leave a comment here that I have however been trying to keep up with some of the other topics and is it just me, or is others noticing how a few members seem to be turning this forum into a Obama bashing place lately? If it's not bashing the President, it's a lot of negative remarks on other important issues. Getting annoying if you ask me.

I stay out of political discussions. I don't even bother reading them here or anywhere else. Don't read it and you can't be annoyed by it. Obama will get bashed just like any president before. It goes with the territory. I was kind of sick of the Obama worship by the media to tell you the truth.
I prefer to talk about food. What did everyone have for supper tonight. We went to Steak & Shake for some burgers and shakes. Imagine getting that there hahaha!
Not everyone will agree in politics... I'm not so concerned with Obama getting bashed as Bush had his turn before him (as did Clinton, etc) BUT things will have to stay civil and respectful or threads will suddenly start being closed and people will start getting infractions..
If you find yourself being offended by political discussion, best to stay out of those threads.
If anyone spots something they feel goes "over the line", PM me or another moderator to take care of it.
Thanks.. let's all try to get along here

Just sitting down, from a long enjoyable weekend. Could go into details, but I'll spare you.
Sharing a memory stick with the computer I have in the shop. I'm down to 256 Meg on this old E-machine.
Took a bit of a break, transition lag, man it took, what felt like fifteen minutes,to boot and initialized my Zonealarm Security Suite.
With the other Gig installed, seems less then two minutes? Like to tell Ya it didn't matter, but it'd be a lie. Getting the other computer back this week, then things should swing, hopefully.
With my patience satiated by the fun, the weather or lack of care, if weather would have turned We kept our feet wet, so if it rained, we wouldn't care.
How many of you remember Craw-daddy-fishin! Mmmm, Mm!
Some might say, a little windy, We said fly a Kite, as a matter of fact, fly 5, never seemed windier.
Some said kind of muddy funny,.. it is the thrill of the chase, not the joy of the kill well at least when your hunt Morels.
And so, braving the painful waiting I trudged through for an evening Chat at the Bubbler.
Felt some weekends need to be shared.
Until Then.

Even in retrospect to handy cap, I will take the moment,...
Thanks for Askin, good to know a guy gets missed! LOL!
"Pushed what was left, back together"
Being on the receiving end of a lot of stitches. As well as two sets of finger prints, from finger tip exorcisms. Nothing needs updated.
That is until you are a suspect!!! LOL!!
Of course not to distract, I really hope your thumb completely heals, quick.
As you know, any injury as significant as this, sounds.
Needs to be taken Seriously.
Until Then.
