... we're gonna do some karaoke. Wanna know what I sound like while singing.. listen to Heaven by Warrant, that's me No kidding I can sound just like him, I can alter my voice for other songs too
My husband is big into karaoke. He can do a lot of different songs. People have asked him a few times to be in a band with them. He even considered it for a while, but decided that would require a lot of time practicing. He sometimes runs a karaoke for a guy that he knows.
Nope that video doesn't work either, oh well.
Yeah if your husband would join a band that would take up quite a bit of of his time. With karaoke you just pick up a mic, sing some songs, put the mic down and go on with something else.
Hey I hope everyone remembered to change their clocks back last night. I know it sure helped me this morning getting that extra hour. I slept in a little more than I usually do and it didn't hurt my schedule.
I was here last night around 10:30 tried to post and next thing I fell asleep with my head on the computer desk. Not comfortable by no means. lol Guess I was really tired from being outside a lot. Had to rake nasty pears up that was fermenting on the ground. What a stink. I try to keep up but they are dropping to fast. Noticed this year most didn't look good enough to make anything out of them, seems like such a waste. Guess next year I'll have to see what I can do to help make them better, if there is anything. Not only did it seem they were a little wormy, but most of them had brown on them and kinda deformed. Anyone know anything about pears? (besides they make a huge mess on the ground!).
Time for breakfast here.. the one day I'm craving coffee and I have none so heading out for a cup or two. Bought two pies yesterday: a pecan pie and a sweet potato pie so you know what I'm having for dessert tonight!

Be back in a bit!
At first I thought it said a pecan sweet potato pie and it sounded so good together. I'm sure there are recipes for such a pie or even a pumpkin pie with a pecan topping. I've made sweet potato pie a few times and it's even better than pumpkin, but I'll take either. YUM!
I actually prefer pumpkin to sweet potato pie.. my neighbor had a slice and insisted it was pumpkin. Had never heard of sweet potato pie.
I'd love some good strawberry or rhubabrb pie.. haven't had either for awhile.
Having a late lunch as I write this.. bologna sandwiches and chicken noodle soup!
I never did get out for my coffee.. had hot tea instead.

My favorite thing is pie. Home made apple has to be the best. My oldest daughter makes the very best I've ever had and that's saying something.
Strawberry/Rhubarb is oh so good too. And Strawberry Cream Cheese Pie is to die for.
Pumpkin is OK, always have to have a slice with whip cream on it for Thanksgiving but as far as pie's it's not on the top of the list. Blueberry isn't my favorite but it's still good.
Pecan Pie. Oh to have a piece right now. A good Lemon Meringue Pie sounds delicious too.
lol Oh you had to get me started on Pies. Now I'm craving a pie.
I don't know what that is either, but look at the ridges on his back. Almost looks like a circular saw blade (which can be seen much better by clicking on that link). You must have a very good camera to get in that close. I wish I had such a camera since I'd like to take better pictures.\
I'm going to send the picture to my friend. He knows a lot about insects. His nickname used to be bug.
I already found your answer. I was going to guess assassin bug since my friend often talked about how this was one of his favorite. On this website they also call it a wheel bug, because of the "wheel" on it's back, which I called the saw blade.
Wow! Good job! Thanks for the link.. so, it's poisonous, eh? And here I was nudging it with my finger tip to get it into position! It was really quite docile.. fell onto it's back at one point and I let it climb onto my finger to right itself.
When I first saw it, it was poised similar to a praying mantis but I knew it wasn't like any mantis I'd ever seen. Now I know..
As for my camera, I took the pics with a Sanyo Xacti CG6, a 6mp digital camcorder.. I actually took several shots but that was one of two or three of the best. When taking macro shots, the slightest movement, even breathing, can spoil the shot.. I love to take closeups of flowers and bugs when I can. I also have a Sanyo Xacti C4. I like the C4 much better but the CG6 is better in low light. Got both cameras off eBay. Both take excellent pics and video.
