Thanks for asking. She is still at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. They haven't figured out what is wrong with her yet. They ran numerous tests and scans and have ruled out cancer and they don't think she has an infection since she doesn't have a fever now. She did have a bladder infection, but they don't think that's what's causing the severe pain all the way down her right leg that she's still having. They are trying physical therapy now, they might let her come home today but if she does, she will either need to go to a nursing home temporarily or have someone come in to help her in her home. She had both hips replaced in the last two years and was doing good until this.
I hope it all works out for her & your families sake hun.. The state may step in & assist with her care right in her own home. I'm sure that depends on the county & what it offers, but they helped a lot when my mom was here & staying with me, something to look into if you need to anyway. My thoughts & prayers are with her & loved ones.
What a gorgeous day out! I opened the windows when I got home from shopping and the cats act like they've never looked outside before. The fresh air must be like catnip to them? They are going crazy running all over chasing each other! LOL
Ohhh...I bought lots of goodies at the Humane Society bake sale today. I got some yummy spice cupcakes for myself and for my hubby, I bought some poppy seed kolash which is his favorite. Now I won't have to bake for a few days.
I thought maybe they were protesting Sheryl Crow using 2 squares of toilet paper.
Wow, I'm surprised they can get away with pushing or blocking people. That's going too far. LOL I would have pushed right back.
When my husband tells me about his father and how he complained about the Beatles back in the '60s, I have to laugh. His dad used to say that the Beatles brought drugs to America and he made my oldest SIL throw out her Beatles records among others. Then go to 1989 at our wedding and the band we had played some Beatles songs. My FIL danced to it and he didn't even know it was the Beatles, but my husband got a laugh out of it. I bet he never took the time to listen to the music back then to realize how good it was. Then FIL listens to country music like that is any better with the lyrics.
OK....well I WILL fess up to part 2 of the Sheryl Crow story........since I had spare tix (a friend working the show) I invited a couple clients of mine to come along with me because they are HUGE Crow fans, they are a Lesbian Couple. When Fanatical Bible Lady pushed me, one stepped in and w/o actually TOUCHING Bible Lady, held her hand up and told her to go #$%*@#$@#$%. I just laughed my arse off........I also corrected her on her use of "Faggot" as I was a woman, etc.
THE BEATLES!!! You totally just brought back a memory of mine from the WAY BACK part of my brain! When I was little I was a Beatle Fanatic. I had ALL of their records. My Mom worked, so I went to her friend's house during the day in the summer, she had 3 daughters and we played/she babysat me. I used to bring my records over every day so we could listen and dance, etc. Well....the day came when John Lennon made that historical remark about the Beatles being "bigger than Jesus", or something to that effect, and my Mom's friend (her name was "Alameda") gathered ALL of her daughter's Beatles records and started BURNING them in their pit out back. (it was a farm) She came for my collection I brought with me and I grabbed them all and took off for the field and went running the 4 miles to my farm!!! I ran ALL the way and hid them in the barn. I got a whoopin later, but I saved my Beatles!
After that incident, I still had to go there, but ALEMEDA would not feed me while I was there and she made me sit in an empty room upstairs. I told my Mom and she finally believed me, took about 2 weeks though. So I got a new babysitter.
So yes, Fundalmentalist Christians do get o my last nerve now and again.
Holy Moly (no pun intended), I had totally forgotten about that!

.....just another day in Paradise
And this from the Smoking Gun website about a Wisconsin woman who used the Craigslist service to pose as her boyfriend and advertise to have people make sexually suggestive calls to his work number:

The Lennon quote was taken out of context it seems. Here is a story about it.
The babysitter sounds a bit psycho. How long would she have left you in the room without feeding you if your mom had continued to use that babysitter. Makes you wonder what punishments her daughters got when you weren't around.
Good morning all! It was raining cats and dogs here this morning so we had a pond in our yard again. It has pretty much stopped now, but is supposed to start again later. With the frost still in the ground, the rain doesn't have anywhere to go so I'm sure some people will have flooded basements again.
I think we're just going to hang around the house today and maybe watch a few movies later. I made breakfast this morning so my hubby and the cat are snoozing in the recliner now.
There were many families that came over from Bohemia/Czechoslovakia in the mid 1800's (including my husband's ancestors) that settled near Hillsboro. It has come to be known as the Czech capital of Wisconsin. They have a festival every year the second weekend of June called "Cesky Den" which means Czech Days. It's fun to go and listen to some of the older folks who still speak the language. Here is a website for it:
Good morning! Where is everyone today? Are you all sleeping in because of the time change?
It's another rainy, drizzly day here again. Guess we will be stay in and probably watch another movie later. I sure wish the nice weather would hurry up and get here! "sigh" I saw the pair of cranes that come back to the marsh here every year but I really want to hear some robins singing!
Slept in to catch up for the week. Actually was up at 5:30 (really 6:30 now) had breakfast and crashed again. Rain coming down here again after a ton yesterday.
The rain must be turning to ice in parts of the county here. I heard on the scanner that there have been several accidents and a roll over already! And it's supposed to turn to snow later. Blah!
