Get some shut-eye, dude! And a dalily constitutional. We'd love for you to feel great!
Great to see the place so active today. Didn't copy/paste the "What's going on?" section, but wanted to mention that we were over 200 visitors, members and guests, online for a good chunk of the afternoon. Been 139 total for the last 20 minutes or so - those used to be the high numbers for a good day.
Great to see the community thriving. Exciting with the seasons changing and the election coming....
I'll be off to Watertown early tomorrow, so I'll see you tomorrow night.

I sure don't miss the apartment days. I like having my house. I think the worst one was the apartment that we lived in while we built our house. People below us drove us nuts. Always swearing and yelling at their kid. Always cooking really stinky meals and the guy got up every morning to hack up his lung in the bathroom.
I try to be as quiet as I can but I live downstairs.. and because my bird is situated in the bay window at the front of the apartment, I have people of all ages stopping by, peering in the window to talk to the bird all day long. One elderly woman even parks her lawn chair on the front walkway so she can carry on a conversation with the bird when the windows are open. That amazes me as I would never look into some one's apartment! And it's unnerving.. suddenly seeing someone staring in my window.
One of my other neighbor's seems to think it's ok to knock on my door at any time of the night if he sees a light on, even 2 or 3 am, to come in and visit...
If you have a bird...no matter where it's located, if someone can see it they automatically stop and talk to it. Does not matter if they are peeking in your window, or dropping of mail to the door...or delivering your Schwans goodies....
Folks seem to stop and talk to birds!
My greys love the attention...but seldom do they talk on demand. It has to be their terms
Well I would say morning to everyone but it's closer to noon time soon. So I'll just stick with howdy, and hope everyone has a great lunch.
Just got in from taking a trip to a beautiful nature area in Illinois where I grew up. It's really only about 15 minutes from where I live since we are just on the Illinois/Wisconsin border here.
The park is one of my very favorites since it holds many memories of when I use to run and play in it when growing up. Unfortunately a few years ago there was a very gruesome double murder of two young girls and since then when I walk I will get an eerie feeling of unrest. I still will go there and walk around staying close to the edges and not walking to far in anymore.
I do think though that I captured some very nice photos. Nature in it's glory was all around me this morning. It was awesome.

Hey Carol, I saw you in chat so I went in to say hi but must have missed you. It showed on the front that you were there but in the chat room I was listed as the only one.
Well I'll try to catch up with you another time.

If you enter FlashChat and don't actually logout of FlashChat, it will show you as still being in the room until you do log out.. you can log out by hitting the red x in the top right corning of the chat window. I love FlashChat, but that's one little quirk I wish they'd fix. If you leave the page, I think it should log you out automatically.
Good afternoon, everyone!
I'm going to make (I hope) a short video this afternoon for YouTube to advertise our Crash The Server party coming up this Monday, Nov. 3rd. If anyone else feels so inclined, feel free to make one as well to invite people to join us! The party is already indexed on the search engines. I just wish I had a better speaking voice.. feeling kinda froggy today too!

It's located on the north end of Zion. I'll try to post a pic or two later today. It's a beautiful nature area.
Ever been to Starved Rock State Park in Illinois? That is a very nice park. I want to go back again. Also nearby it Matthiessen State Park, which I haven't been to, but is similar.
