Re: Are you ready for Winter this year?
Wow salt is in short supply? I'll be checking Walmart and grab a couple bags when I see it. Thanks for the heads up

Re: Are you ready for Winter this year?
winter ,spring ,summer and fall
I don't pay attention to them at all
weather comes and weather goes
always changing as the winds blow
there not much you can do about that
just ride the waves, thats the facts
enjoy the day, enjoy the season
it's the spice of the time, and the reason

We always had to shovel when we lived in apartments because we lived in duplexes. It wasn't too bad until the plow came down the alley and put 5 feet of snow in front of the garages!

Re: Are you ready for Winter this year?
Actually the maintenance guy asked if I'd help him with the ice and snow this year just the other day. I said, "Sure.. what does it pay?"

More about the salt shortage; prices have tripled since last year.

Not always. In our first apartment we had to shovel the sidewalk and the driveway. We lived on a corner, too. We also had to mow the lawn. It wasn't a very big lawn, but the lawn mower the landlord provided was a piece of crap. It had 3 wheels on it.

Re: Are you ready for Winter this year?
I told my maintenance guy I'd help him with the snow this winter: he'd shovel, I'd supervise. My shoveling days are over

I hated getting up early to shovel, just to come out to leave for work 20 minutes later & find the plow left a mound of snow at the end of the driveway, they always seem to come 2 minutes before i left for work, even if i left earlier trying to avoid it lol
I now live in a duplex and my landlord has someone who comes to do all the lawn work & plowing, i only have to do the area directly outside of my garage, which is minimal, so i wont complain.

That's the right attitude!
I love Wisconsin, including the four seasons...until the end of the 2nd month of Winter! By January or February I question my sanity for living in the cold and snow. Now, if only I could vacation for a month or three in the winter...
Regards,
Keith
