Can you imagine waking up to a helicopter crashing thru the roof of your house?! The people inside are so lucky to be ok...it didn't crash thru were they were sleepig!!

Thanks for the heads up on what's going on here in our city Carol. I am usually on top of what is going on but totally did not catch this one until I read it on the bubbler!
The crash was reported just after 5:30 a.m. at 6934 97th Avenue. This is West and South from us. Closer to the White Caps Subdivision I think.

This news article tells an informative story on the crash. It is just by a miracle that the family was not injured. It's sad that the two in the copter did not have a chance though.

Update: Early Sunday morning helicopter crash took the lives of the two on board, 54-year-old Alan Sapko, a Sturtevant WI businessman, and 45-year-old Joan Anzalone.

Update: The pilot of a helicopter that crashed into a Kenosha house, was certified as a pilot in 2006, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman said Monday.

Current FAA medical certificate
Current private pilot helicopter certificate
