Wisconsin Driving Laws: Text messaging ban

They aren't passing a law against talking on the phone while driving... but that would have made more sense.

Sorry I just assumed if a law was passed that you could not text it simply meant you could not 'use' your cell phone, period. Talking, texting etc.

Now that would make sense.

I believe in Illinois at least across the state line in Zion it is illegal to use a cell phone and drive. Of course if you use a hands free device that is different, right?

Just the other day a larger size cube truck was next to us and the driver was texting. Now that is just wrong to see something that is so large as a truck and the driver is not paying attention.

Wish I had thought to check the plate number or the company name on the truck.

OK, not condoning people who drink and drive but their judgement is impaired. People who text and drive and get into a serious accident should get treatment at least equal to those who drink and drive (IMHO).
