What\'s your temp?

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr it's cold outside!

Yesterday in the balmy weather of almost 50 degrees I was out looking at vans to buy. Then the rain started. Then the wind picked up. By evening I was looking at a van in nasty weather of high winds, snow, and freezing temps. Go figure.

Right now it's early morning and the schools are all closed and it's minus 4 with wind chills in temps that should be only for the North Pole. lol

We are located down in the very South/East portion of Wisconsin. How is it way up North or even in between?

Today right now in Amherst Wi it's -17 but wind chill makes it feel like -30 LoL YIKES.. WAY to COLD for me. I want Summer to come quick lol forget Spring LoL

Well it did make me feel a wee bit better about the cold when I read the following article and I could sit and be thankful that I live in Kenosha and not International Falls!:

Record cold for northern Minn.: 40 below

It lived up to its name: The temperature in International Falls fell to 40 below zero Monday, just a few days after the northern Minnesota town won a federal trademark making it officially the "Icebox of the Nation."

It did go on to mention that, WINTER, WISCONSIN, fell to 25 degrees below.

Now that is COLD outside. burrrrr

Poor International Falls, they've been trying to do away with the "Icebox" label for some time. The giant thermometer in Smokey Bear Park was even taken down to stop reminding people about "icebox" weather. I think this has probably set them back!

It's a wonderful place to vacation in when the weather is warm!

It's 7 degrees right now in Whitehall. I've gotten out the Coppertone and and shook the dust out of my beach towels just in case. It's gonna be a heatwave!

I don't own a thermometer, so I go with what it says on the web...WX.com. I think the weather sats for my area comes from either Oshkosh or Sheboygan.

I read this and thought..wow..you don't own a thermometer?? And then I realized that I do own one and I don't even have it up! Now that is sad. lol

This spring when it's nicer outside I will certainly have to make a point of putting it up. Thanks for making me be aware of this. lol

But really, it's a case of how times have change. It use to be that every morning I would manual check the weather by looking at the thermometer hanging outside of the window.

Then we got really modern and decided to just pick up the phone and call the weather at the bank if we wanted to know how cold/hot it was outside... lol

Now, it's just get on the computer and check either thebubbler for the temp, or weather.com and get the low down how the day will be hour to hour.

Only thermometer I own is for the critters

I just listen to the news or check the internet to see what the temp is.

Have no clue what it was yesterday or today. Just plain old COLD!
