I'm going to say this latest shooting rampage in Crandon, WI is really disturbing. I just read in the Milwaukee Journal that the kids dialed 9-1-1 over twenty times and not once did an officer respond. The only survivor of a shooting rampage that left six others dead, dove into a corner and pretended to be dead after he was shot I don't know which is more tragic the police not responding or that it was a man in uniform who was the cold killer. Come on Wisconsin we need to stop allowing corrupt or disturbs individuals into the law force. Crandon is north of Appleton by 1 1/2 hours.

I don't think it's more of a tragedy that the shooter was an officer. Virginia Tech proved that it's easy enough for someone with mental issues to get a gun and shoot people. Shootings like this can happen anywhere, anytime, by any person that snaps.

Does anyone know what kind of mental health screenings law enforcement in Wisconsin do have to go through?

physchological testing is not required in wisconsin
I think people are making too much of a big deal, with him being a leo.
People snap and kill people all the time, regardless of there job.If someone wants to do something, they will find a way to get gun, cop or not.

But when the killer is dressed in a uniform, that one thinks would protect anyone, it just gives me the understanding that no one can trust anyone including the police. I'm a health care worker and had to submit to a back round check and a lengthy interview process. WHY is it not mandatory for officers to take a test proving they can handle the stress of the job?

BTW The boy that survived will need many if not yrs of rehab.

But they still tell the kids in school don't be afraid of officers they are there to help you??????
