I am looking for someone....
I am looking for someone that was living in Onalaska for quite some time. She just recently moved to Indiana. She has a 13 year old daughter. Her name is Alejandra Negrete. Please if anyone has any information about her, please contact me. It is very important that I find her.

we must exercise caution...
Dear Bobblehead,
With all due respect, we must exercise caution.
We don't know you at all, let alone know you well, and we don't know why you're looking for this person.
Again, with all due respect, if one of us knew the whereabouts of the person you're looking for, we'd probably want to let her know you're looking for her instead of telling you where she is just because you asked. I'm not trying to seem inhospitable, just telling you the way I look at this as someone who cares about the well-being of people connected with this online community.
Regards,
Keith

looking for someone
After reading your private message to me, it is apparent that you are trying to persude people not to respond to my request. Yes, you don't know me, but you don't know this Alejandra either, because if you did you would know that she is a phony who has stolen my identity. I only hope that it never happens to you.

Yes. As I said in the private message to you, "we don't know you."
For all we know you could be stalking the woman you're referring to. I'm not trying to be rude, just skeptical and realistic.
I suggested that you contact the local / county police in the appropriate area. You suggested you didn't have time for that. Funny that you have time for this and not that.
I appreciate the well wishes that no once steal my identity. Sorry to hear it happened to you. Just tried suggesting you enlist the aid of law enforcement instead of Members of theBubbler.
Good luck.
Regards,
Keith

Wow
When I first read this post, I just figured someone was looking for a friend they lost contact with. You'd think I'd be more savvy considering how long I've been online but I guess I was having an off day . Then I read Keith's response and thought it was a good point but maybe a little over reacting. Then I read the reason this dude is looking for the person and I realize it's not over reacting at all. I live near Onalaska but don't know her. Even if I did, I wouldn't want to get involved in a mess like that.
Thanks, Keith, for speaking up. Sometimes even us online oldsters can get careless and forget not everyone has the best of intentions.
Michelle

When I first read this I sensed something was not right but did not know in which direction, the writer or the person being sought.
But clearly there is more to this than meets the eye since when Keith carefully pointed out that the correct way, the writer became aggressive in his manner.
If it is true that this person that he is seeking is in fact a fraud and someone that needs to be reported for indentity theft, then why not be up front from the beginning? You know, something like, Hi, I'm from...and I need some help. I was a victim of identity fraud and working with the police and would like to warn everyone about ....and if you have any info as to her where abouts please contact the police in....? Oh that's right, I think I read you have not contacted the police? Correct me if I'm wrong but if someone steals your identiy wouldn't you want the police to run her name and find her rather than jumping on a website and getting annoyed with people that never heard of this person?
Yes, I'm with Keith on this one. And I would also like to add that just because we are on the bubbler and comment back and forth to everyone here...we don't all know each other by our full names, we are pk, or in this case, bobblehead etc. So this person that is being sought after could be someone here and we certainly would not even know it.

Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in the country. Approximately 10 million Americans each year discover that their personal information has been used to open fraudulent bank accounts, credit cards, or utility accounts – or used to commit crimes. Between 2003 and 2005, reports of identity theft from Wisconsin residents to the Federal Trade Commission increased by 20%.
By acquiring just a small amount of information, identity thieves can destroy a person’s financial reputation, and cause endless stress on a person and their family. Identity theft costs consumers millions of dollars in fraudulent charges each year, and can take years and cost thousands of dollars to recover from.
