The State Fair has been missing me since I was in grade school. In 1989, I started out with the intent of attending, but I found myself at an adult entertainment tavern near the airport. From there, the trip took me to Columbus. Two weeks later, I finally made it to my own bed.

Huge black eye for State Fair yesterday. My wife and son were down there yesterday without me. Luckily, they left about 6:00 - just in time to avoid trouble.
I'll be watching to see how West Allis and the State Fair respond. This is serious and they need to address it head on.

Gov. Scott Walker has ordered the Wisconsin State Patrol to provide additional law enforcement help at the Wisconsin State Fair after several incidents involving rampaging youths broke out on the fairgrounds and on the streets outside Thursday night.
...because of the violence overnight, the fair would immediately implement a policy in which no youths under 18 years of age would be allowed onto the grounds after 5 p.m. without a parent or guardian who is at least 21 years of age. There will be no changes at the Midway.

My daughter and grand son picked up some cream puffs right before they left the fair and brought them home. Oh soooo good!
Hey Patti, if you get a chance to go to the Walworth County Fair over Labor Day weekend, you will find that they have the best creme puffs and chocolate brownies ever! We used to bring some home every year we went when we lived in Elkhorn. I'm almost tempted to go to the fair this year just to get some.

I've been to the Walworth Fair before but never tried the cream puffs. Not sure when I will ever get back again now but if I do I'll have to remember to check out the creme puffs or maybe the brownies...yum that sound good.
