National Mustard Day is celebrated annually at the Mount Horeb Mustard Museum on the first Saturday
in August. It is a fun-filled day for the whole family and has traditionally included "free" Oscar Mayer hot dogs as well as music, games, other entertainment, mustard samples, and more. The Mustard Museum has been the official sponsor of this event since 1991.

The festivities are held in Mount Horeb, starting at 10 am.

The Oscar Meyer Wienr Mobile will be present along with 3000 free hotdogs if you use mustard!

Be sure to visit the mustard museum, located on Main Street, while attending National Mustard Day in Mount Horeb.

They offer over 800 mustards!!

Although my schedule, and my transportation mode will not allow for my attendance at the museum, I'm planning on eating some mustard that day, and will be remembering all the lives that were sacrificed for the betterment of all mankind, through the liberal usage of mustard, whichever color.

We love Mt Horeb! It's actually been several years since we stopped by so not sure if it is the same. There use to be the chocolate factory towards the end of town that sold chocolate cheese that was the best! (it burned down quite some time ago now)... A little cafe in the middle of town that had the best burgers, and of course we never missed checking out the mustard museum.

We use to try to attend the Mt Horeb Days where all the stores had tables along the road and in the main park we use to all gather and eat the great food...(norweigan food).

Thinking of all the fun times we had makes me think we have to make a trip up there soon!

I found it interesting to see this version of the Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile. In Kenosha during the Veterns Parade we had the Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile drive through. Here is a picture of the one we saw this summer:

It did look pretty new to me. I never thought about it until I saw the picture you showed. Makes me wonder how many of these hot dog machine cars are out cruising the steets. lol
