Sorry Keith didn't see that post. With this many pages I just clicked on the few last pages.
Well with $4.00+ gas I think the economy hurts, less money to spend on other things. It does get people motivated to develop better technology. One day I would like an all electric car and get off the power grid. Oil is all about $$$
On the other hand people like things cheap.
Maybe with the high gas prices we had it would be enough to get the ball rolling in the right direction.
$2.07 on 68th and Forest Home and 60th and Coldspring in Greenfield / Southwest Milwaukee.
I was near the Woodmans Grocery Store in Oak Creek last night and their gas station said $1.79 on the sign out front. I couldn't read the print above the price as it was dark (in the evening)...
I didn't think to check this morning while going by but do need to gas up today. Hopefully it's still low or even lower. But even at what it's been running is so much better than what it was a month ago.

If you could confirm that, we could create a traffic jam from theBubbler!
as of 9:00am Woodmans in Oak Creek records at $2.07 on Gas Buddy
They might be running a sale like the walmarts use to do with Murphy gas stations... if you spend so much on groceries (or whatever) u get gas at that price, only up to a certain amt of gallons etc... that was probably the small print you seen above the price (some kind of offer).
I'm amazed that gas prices have fallen this far... But I still don't believe it will last long... just too many countries increasing their demand... I'd say enjoy it while you can.
My gas light wasn't on yet but almost and I filled up for just under 40.00 today. Remarkable. A while back I was complaining that it took 70.00 to fill my tank.
I agree that it won't last but I"m sure enjoying it while it lasts.

Same here. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and at the highest point, the largest gas fillup I ever had was about $73. I think it was $3.39/gallon or maybe a little more? With the gauge just a hair over the empty line I spent around $39 for a full tank.

Update: the $1.79 price on the Woodman's gas station sign in Oak Creek was not for regular unleaded gas - it was for E85 Flex Fuel! Regular unleaded was $2.07 yesterday at that station.
Just saw a station at $2.15 this evening. As much as I love how the prices are quickly falling can someone tell me how and why it is doing so? What happened to the gloom and doom that we were soon to see 7.00 a gallon as they were saying a few months ago?

If the price of a gallon of gas still has you down consider the price of a gallon of Pepto-Bismol at about $48.
Considering 99.9% of all food that i eat & cook is Mexican... i already knew that

One of the guys who went out for lunch today says the pdq down the road was changing their sign to $2.03 when he was there... we are slowly but surely getting there!
