$2.97 here... Sad that gas going below $3 a gallon makes us happy.
Just got back in from the East side of town and it's still 2.89 going that way.
It is sad that we are excited to see it fall under 3.00. Remember when we were all upset because it was nearing 3.00? Now we are feeling like 'whew'...we are back to this point again. How they can play with our minds.

Girl i remember when i was upset because it was nearing $2 lol
I wonder if we will ever see $2.00 a gallon again in our lifetime?
No clue, however i have my doubts, simply because they know that no matter how much we complain about it, there's no way around buying gas for most of us
I wonder if we will ever see $2.00 a gallon again in our lifetime?
The only place we will ever see $2.00/gallon gas prices is in a history book, that is unless we start making aternative fuels that will work in any car without modification or requiring a new vehicle purchase.
my "lo"
...Them's got ears, let them hear
Them's got eyes, let them see
Turn your eyes to the lord of the skies
Take this airline plane
It'll take you home again
And of course, OPEC and Chavez are squirming, threatening to halt or limit production to drive prices back up. I hope someday we can overcome our reliance on foreign oil.
Maybe this is what we need.. less reliance on foreign oil and exercise all rolled into one: the Rhoades car, a 4 wheeled bike that drives like a car.
I'm still trying to figure out why Watertown is always more than all the towns around us. It doesn't make sense.
I'll have to fill up before heading to h2otown on Tuesday.

Just wondering what people would prefer, $4+ / gallon gas and a healthy, growing economy or $2.50 gas and a wildly fluctuating economy?
If that were the choice, I think I'd prefer the former. Not that I like high gas prices ~ I just like the idea of a healthy economy more than cheaper gas. In a healthy economy we can better afford to develop alternatives, and with higher gas prices we have the incentive. I saw lines at gas stations in the early 80s - and we've made little progress since then.
Here are a couple of historical charts that compare the price of a barrel of oil with the price of a gallon of gasoline. According to these charts we should continue to see a reduction in the price of gas at the pumps.

Can you upload some images just a little bigger, I can't really make out the numbers.
I would think anything around 600px wide for an image works.
