I saw that oil fell this past week but I still believe people need to be planning for the future as this is just a momentary delay. One big hurricane or war with Iran and we are at $5.00 the next morning. Further the expected rise in demand worldwide can't be matched by more drilling so well pinch your pennies now but now is the time to start considering smarter individual solutions to the gas price issue.
Was in Dousman yesterday and the BP there was $4.43 a gal
I'm thinking to myself there is no way I'm paying that as I'm looking at the light up fuel tank on the dash cuz I need gas now.....
I drove over to Oconomowoc and the Kwik Trip there (6 miles down the road) was $3.99...........they were crazy there with people too. Seems everyone from around the area was getting gas there.
The really sad part about the high gas prices is there's no real shortage. Most gas hikes are the result of gouging and you'll hear excuses about "Hurrican Ike" or similar to justify it. Lies, all lies, I tell you!

I been using gasbuddy for quite some time, but it's only useful to me when i travel away from home, since my local stations tend to get updated once a week or so for the most part.
We went up to $4.15 last weekend & now at $4.11, according to my girl who works at the station by my house we should be at $3.99 by this weekend... how sad, considering the barrel price is at its lowest in a very long time!

Ran into Jefferson last night and they were at $3.89
I passed a station with 3.89 yesterday. Hopefully they will all come down to that price soon. I will need gas soon...wonder if that station is still at 3.89?.. always see better prices when I either don't have the time to stop, or I don't need any.

I was living in Florida when gas prices first passed $1 a gallon and recall my mom saying she'd have to stop buying gas if it got much higher. Funny how we adjust to this sort of thing.
$3.69 at the Mobil Gas Station in Sullivan this morning.
Headed into Oconomowoc to care for critters and passing the Kwik Trip there they were $3.89 but the truck was there leaving gas. Thought for sure they'd have dropped...but they remained at $3.89
$3.69 for the last two days here in Ashland. There's also a few cars around here that burn veggie oil.
I wish the three car manufacturers in the USA (can't call them the big three anymore) would stop dragging their feet and produce a vehicle that people can afford to drive.
Do you ever notice when the epa sets new guidelines for gas mileage the three car manufacturers come up with about the same mpg.
Electric cars are starting to come out again from Ford and GM, guess what, the best they can do is around 40 miles per charge. Can't they come up with better technology?
Tesla Motors has a car in production that can go over 200 miles per charge, go over 100+ mph and charges in a couple hours.
Is it possible big oil has an influence over the car manufacturers in the USA?!?
I saw $3.39 in Iowa this past weekend, then I had to cross the Mississippi and it was back up to $3.69 or more.
I did see an article yesterday on a car that Ford makes that gets 65 mpg, but for some reason can't be sold here in the US. I didn't read beyond the headline, so I don't know the details.
I've been saying it for a long time. We make everything else better on a car, but the gas mileage is still about the same as it was over 20 or 30 years ago on a car. Why can't they come up with something better? I still think the oil companies and car manufacturers are in cahoots together. If they aren't, than why don't we have something better by now?
One of the stations I saw at 2.89 yesterday is now 2.99 this morning. Others I saw was also at 2.99 this morning. That was one side of town taking my daughter to school. In a while I will be going in another direction of town and will see if anything changed over on that side.
