re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
Crude oil prices are down today. Right around $100 per barrel.
Seems like sending Dick Cheney to rough up the Saudis wasn't such a bad idea.

re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
I needed gas yesterday and was quite shocked when I was on the north side of town and saw they wanted $3.45 a gallon! I was pretty low in the tank but decided to go more toward our section of town and got lucky with $3.39.
Wow, did I say lucky?? I don't know how lucky $3.39 is since I paid out a total of $63.49 for a tank of gas! And it wasn't even on empty, just low. I have never in all my years of driving had to pay that much for a tank of gas!
Is this ever going to end??

Just saw this story. Possible $4.00 a galllon for gas soon?? Unreal.
Gas Prices Slip, but Could Hit $4
Gas Prices Slip From Record, but Could Reach $4 a Gallon This Spring, the Government Said
Retail gasoline prices pulled back slightly from record levels Tuesday and gave some consumers a small break, but a new government forecast said gas could reach as high as $4 a gallon during the summer driving season.

re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
As long as there is the use of the liquid there is no reason to even discuss the use of...
Now what was that all about you may ask...

Hook up solar and wind in your community...
WOW now that I think about it there is a huge list of thinks we could all do to go green...
Get ready for $8.00 per gallon soon enough...

re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
$8.00 a gallon? I thought, yeah right when I read that.
But looking into it I did read that IF the rise of gas continues at the way it's been going this past year it COULD be up to $7.00-$8.00 a gallon by next Easter 2009.
There is no relief in sight since the fuel comes mostly from places that simply doesn't like us anymore. They can set the price and we have to pay it.
One would think that people would be in a panic to get rid of their larger SUV's, Vans etc.. but according to one article that has so far not really happened. People need to get their families around and so far they love their vehicles. They intend to cut costs elsewhere and not drive as much but simply not thinking in terms of going smaller.
That seems strange. I am wondering if we shouldn't try to get into a smaller car even though I totally love our 2007 van. What good is it if it sits in the driveway and you can't afford to drive it.

re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
Very true PK...
If all would understand what the rest of the world pays for liquid at this time is that even Germany is now paying more than $8.00...
The status symbol is dead or soon to be... I personally have a major giggle when I see the gas hogs driving like maniacs by stomping on the peddle to make sure they are getting no where fast as they whine of the prices...
Who makes the car shreaders... Does anyone know...
If I could find out I could buy some of there stock as I may become a rich man...

Right! I am happy setting the cruise control to let everyone else go zipping by me. I get there in the same amount of time and I get decent mileage (22-26mpg) not to mention I am not on the a** of the person in front of me ready to cause a major accident cause some other fool cut them off, but this is a totally different subject

re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
4.09 today.
I heard we will never see anything less than $4.00 again.
The dream vacation of traveling out west through the Rockies to Washington and down the coast to California to see the Redwoods and back home again seems like it's getting further and further out of the picture.
Wish we did it last summer like I wanted to do. This summer? Camping in the back yard or in a campgrounds nearby.

I noticed here in Kenosha yesterday (after the holiday weekend), gas went down a few cents. But today it's back up to $4.09.

re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
Friday gas prices went down under the $4.00 mark. Never thought that would excited me. But it was $3.99 so I filled up. Sure enough it's over $4.00 again today at most places around $4.04.

re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
Here's a short article giving a few tips on how to save gas.
With all the worry over fuel prices, you'd think drivers would do whatever they can not to waste gas. But look around and you'll see lots of them tooling around as if they owned their own tanker fleet. One of them might be you.
Here are six ways drivers typically waste gas on every trip:

re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
Amazing to look at the first couple of posts in this thread,,,,, complaints about 3.05,,,,, what we would give to have it that "low" again right now.
Here in Ohio, it was 4.19 up until Memorial day, then dropped, some places it is 3.89 but most is 3.99 and 4.09 in Charleston WV

re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
The 3.05 prices were May of '07, just over a year ago and we are a dollar higher a gallon, a 33% jump in one year.
I still remember my mom amazed when in Cali the prices went up to 99.99 cents a gallon and we were paying like 80 some in WV at the time. This was in the mid 70's

Sometimes I think they are just playing head games on us by making the prices go up a few cents at a time. That way like you said a year ago we all thought 3.05 was high and now a few cents at a time they creeped it up to over 4.00 and make us all think 3.05 would be so wonderful again. Guess a year from now we will be wishing we could have gas at 4.00 a gallon again.

re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
I use to think they played with the prices and raised them just before weekends and lowered them right after. Well that is what it started out looking like again this past weekend since we were down on Friday and then a raise over 4.00 again this weekend. Then this morning going past the gas station it was back down to 3.99. Yeah!
Well it didn't last long. Just went by a short time ago and it jumped from $3.99 back up to $4.09 again on a Monday!

re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
Hello,
Gas is Just nuts as is Food ect. People depend to much on Gas & Grocery stores to. Scientist have came up with quite a few New Ideas making cars Run Not on Gas, those cars they dont want out for people to own because they cant make any money off from us consumers that way(for the long run thinking). They would all start loosing their share of money coming in for the gas ect.so the goverment and these companies ,fuel places, owners ect. Jack up the Price of these new Cars so no one but rich people can drive them ! How is that helping our Earth ? How is that helping gas prices? How is that helping the Mild & poor Classes out? ITS NOT Plane And Simple. And Quit making & Quit Buying Cars that run on Gas Period.
I wonder what would happen if every one started to just say screw the cars And gas All together and go out and buy a Cheep Horse to go to work & back. Put that in your garage instead.Hay is way cheaper at this point , hahahaha. Or Bike Or walk if you can.or Families & Friends start car pooling with each other to the store for food ect.
People need to start buying Localy man made things & Produce instead Too !
Helping the USA is what we need to do. The government is not helping us so who will ? no One but us I guess.
If we keep going the way we are it will turn into ever man for his self type thing. And people will just start taking what they need or kill you for it. Another Great Depession maybe is coming ! the way things are going I wouldn't dought it at all. Everything keeps going up but we get no extra Money coming in ,even thow we would 24/7 you still can not get anywhere.Becuase of Everything Going up so much they will be no end,if Nothing is done. America's people - needs people on Our side to actually fight for us.to make things right again,to get people to invent Major improvements on things we need and use to not have to depend on things that can not be replaced or bad for the earth. We turned into a throw Away World ! Something Needs to be done for Our kids for our kids kids and Us living in the now.Things need to change and we need the right people to all stand together in this fight !

Yeah..we held at $3.99 for a couple of days at some of our stations but the weekend is here and it jumped up to $4.09. I'm sure by next weekend with the 4th coming up it will creep up a little more even.

re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
I wouldn't be surprised at all if we see $5.00 this summer and $200 a barrel next summer. With India and China coming online the price is just going to go up up up... On a per capita basis they don't use nearly as much energy as we do here in the U.S. but they are doing everything in their power to catch up.... When they do watch out because oil is going to be very expensive..
