Winter Weather Report from WBAY News... Our weekend-winter storm seems to be slowing. So with the exception of a few stray snow showers in Central Wisconsin tonight/tomorrow, most of the snow won't arrive until Saturday night. Accumulations by Monday still look to range between 6-12" with a few places seeing +12".
Lets see how right the meterologist will be on this upcoming storm...which I have no idea what the name will be.
 I say Appleton area will get 3.5 inches
Whats your Opinion on this matter.
Lakeshore preps for winter storm
February 23, 2007
Herald Times Reporter
TWO RIVERS — Linda Thiry is a pro at preparing for winter snowstorms.
"We usually keep everything in stock and buy on sale so when a storm comes, we don't have to go out," Thiry, 62, a mother of 10 grown children, said outside of the Pick n' Save.
The eight months worth of canned and dried goods she has stocked in the cabinets, freezer, and basement of her Two Rivers home will be more than enough food to last Thiry through a weekend storm that is expected to dump up to 12 inches of snow on Manitowoc County.

just wanted to add that we live in the very south/east section of the state (kenosha) so I'm hoping that maybe we won't get hit as much. Well I can hope can't I? lol
But for the good news, the snow will offer some great pictures to take since snow storms can make some awesome black and white pictures.
9:00 pm Friday night and it's already started to snow in Jefferson County.
yep, same here in Kenosha. Just looked out and it is coming down hard, and everything is all covered already. Thought it wasn't going to start until tomorrow night.
And I have to get up and take my daughter to school in the a.m. (Chinese school)...she may be missing it.
Now we have an extended weekend plus of snow coming.
Blizzard warning tonite for most of Southeastern Wisconsin!
Total accumulation over the next few days of 10 to 20 inches! I know my brother's happy. He plows.
I'm not!
Oh well. I love Wisconsin, but about every February I wonder about my sanity.
One expression that helps this time of year...March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb!
Let's make the best of it. I'm going in to work for a couple of hours now. Then I'll take some time, grab some hot chocolate between shoveling, hunker down in the forums and talk! Hope you'll do the same - And bring your friends!
Regards,
Keith
p.s.: A great time to upload a video or two to WisTube.com!

UGH...........I'm not happy either. I did make it to my morning job to feed the farm animals ~ Rome to Neosho took me over an hour. Usually a 45 min trip.
Cars in ditch's all over i-94. I saw a spin out on Hwy 67
Coming back I heard about the Blizzard Warning and just how much snow we have headed this way so I stopped at Pick N Save and stocked up on things.
My neighbor was nice and snow blowed my drive way......Other wise I have to do it with a shovel. I had a nice snowblower until the middle boy who likes to tinker, took it apart one summer to use parts on his go cart!

Work was going to be an hour, ended up being 3. Then went with an associate to get a home brew starter kit and remembered that my wife and I are supposed to go to a Bucks game tonite for our anniversary (that was actually a few days ago).
Well, spent 5:30 to 6:30 trying to get someone to come out and FIX OUR FURNACE. Ended up giving the tickets to one of my sons and his girlfriend (they won!). The furnace guy got her about 8. Left at 8:30 with the furnace kind of limping along. Hope it holds out till Monday, otherwise it's the fireplace (that sucks more heat than it gives I think) and running out for electric heaters and electric blankets....in a blizzard. Glad to see lots of people having fun here (e.g., "Proud to be a Wisconsinite").
I'm keeping my fingers crossed - and my arms, legs, toes, etc. Stay warm everybody!
Seven dead in crashes as weekend storm blasts Wisconsin
Three people died when a minivan skidded into a snowplow, while four died in three other crashes as a weekend snowfall buried parts of Wisconsin in more than a foot of snow Saturday, with more to come.
A blizzard warning was in effect Saturday night through Sunday for the south central and southeastern parts of the state, and there was the potential for snows to continue into the work week and accumulate up to 18 to 24 inches before it all ends, said Tom Zajdel, meteorologist with the National Weather Service at Sullivan.
"Everything's kind of coming together and producing this fairly widespread storm," he said.
An area of "thundersnow" - a combination of snow and thunderstorm - was moving into southern Wisconsin from Illinois and producing 1-2 inches of snow an hour, he said, which could mean the region would get more than the 8 to 14 inches that had been forecast overnight.
I think it's going to be a long night of watching the snow pile up and wishing for spring! This would be a great time to have everyone find the chat room in the outdoors section! Could be fun.
Great pictures. Explains it just perfect. Poor little weiner dog I'm watching can't even get out to potty. I just shoveled a spot on the deck, she can go there for now. To deep for her.
Carol
Nice pics PK!
We got a couple/three inches around Eau Claire so far, but there's been a lot of drifting; making it deep in places.
The roads were very slippery in some spots last night.
And then there's March. Watch out!
We didn't fare too badly here in Racine. Not sure of the totals, but about halfway through last night it switched to a freezing rain mixture, and is melting in to slush. The wind was bad though! I'm thankful we didn't get all the inches of snow predicted, but my fanny is out there shoveling today
I was relieved of all shoveling duties, some years ago. I always thought it was a good work-out. The rest of the crew got tired of pulling my head out of a snow bank. I fall over, alot. 8O
Now, I find immense enjoyment in watching the faces of those that do the shoveling.
Oh, the trials, oh the tribulations.
