How much snow are we going to get? - Page 2

I know i have snowblown over 18 inches of the white demon so far today! Expected to get another 4-7 inches still tonight. But...they say it will slow down for monday. Bring on the 80-90 degree heat!!! Damn snow...im sick of it! Cant wait to get out paddling and fishing again.

Got up this morning expecting to see a ton of snow, instead it was bunch of mush, slush, puddles of water under a thin layer of ice/snow. A mess.

After we just got our drive cleared out it started to snow in ernest around early evening. Not to much but enough to cover everything again.

When is Spring going to be here? :?

Looks like 10 inches laying there now. It's still coming down. The weather forecast calls for another 7" or so.

Glad I don't live where you do Brain. lol

We didn't get to much yesteday and last night. What we have more right now is mush, snow, ice, nasty stuff. It is pretty on the trees though...I'll have to post a few pictures I took this morning.

That last pic is about how my driveway still looks. See I have a snowblower, only my 16yr old who likes to "tinker" took it apart this summer to use parts of it on his go-cart.
So since he did that I told him he had to shovel. I've got about 15" of sold packed ice/snow in my driveway.
I'm going to have to find someone with a plow to get me out.

wet snow, and wind...might be some rain in there, too...sleet. not a pleasant situation.

Wow. What a mess outside this morning. Had to let the dogs out and was hit by everything! Sleet, hail, rain, freezing snow balls, all mixed with large lightening shining up the entire sky, to thunder trying to wake the dead out there.

It was so funny the poor dogs didn't know what was hitting them! When one really large thunder sounded, the little one jumped and then froze for a second...then cautiously looked around as if she was going to identify what the noise was. I will say it was the first time I think she was actually speechless...or barkless as in this case. :lol: :lol:

looks like something of a reprieve today. Only 4-6" all day yesterday, and for a couple hours last night. I took a break and dropped in at the local brewery for a couple...I actually went out to socialize last night.
Watched some folks shovel snow for awhile.

The way I just heard it, we may be done with the snow at least for now?

By this weekend it is suppose to go up close to 50. Maybe not quite reaching it but close with a temp of around 48-49 degrees!

They also predict that we should be seeing around 60-65 in the next 2 weeks.

Now if it could just stay around 65 and not drop any further down it would be totally great with me!

OK, 70-75 would be better but I can wait until May for that....

I am glad I got up at 5:00am to clear the driveway and walk before it melts. It is not going to be that warm up Appleton and it was so cold this am that my finger froze in thinsulate gloves as I blew the snow.

I would rather see a slow ramp-up in temperature so the melting snow does not all run-off but some gets into the soil.

I know my wife is bugging me to go camping in mid may brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

This is the time of year that she gets anxious for the camping season.

Maybe the snow is finished for the season. The 5 day forecast looks like a slopfest. March...in like a pig, out like a ...something that goes out easy,
