Homemade deer away spray

I don't have deer in my yard, but have used this with rabbits. You'll have to try it to see if it works for deer.

Deer Away spray
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 Tbl. cooking oil
1 Tbl. dish soap
1 gallon water

Beat egg and milk together, then add cooking oil and soap. Add mixture to water and stir or shake well. Store in a covered 1 gallon container (old milk jug would work).

Apply liquid to plants (except for food plants) using spray bottle. Reapply every 2 weeks or after heavy rains.


Adding some cayenne pepper/capsaicin to the mix might be worth a try, too.

People near where I lived in NY had terrible problems with deer stripping the bark off trees and eating plants, etc.

Sounds like something like this would come in handy.
