About a 1 1/2 weeks ago we came home and discovered this bug all over our cherry tree leaves. I thought they were lady bugs and took pictures of them thinking they were cute. Then I began to notice that these bugs weren't 'ladybugs' but more like a short worm that was actually sticking itself to the leaves.
We kept an eye on them for a few days until our neighbor mentioned that he now had them on his hosta plants and clematis vine both next to the fence close to our tree. He sprayed his plants and the side of our tree that he could get. We sprayed the rest of the tree today.
I have tried to find this 'bug' on the internet and not able to find anything like it. Does anyone know what this is on our tree? As far as our hostas and everything else by this tree in our yard there is no other bugs. They are just on the leaves of this one cherry tree.
Thanks for anything that may clear up this mystery.
