Boyfriend accused of sending heroin to Taycheedah

Fond du Lac police are looking for a Chicago man accused of sending heroin to his girlfriend who's serving time at Taycheedah Correctional Institution.

Police say the man put heroin under the stamps on letters he sent to the 30-year-old inmate. A police report says the letters would arrive from a man called Bill Ramsey. When the inmate told her boyfriend she'd been getting letters from someone she didn't know, he told her to look under the stamp.

She received five subsequent letters. In a recorded phone call, the inmate told her boyfriend to tell Bill thanks for writing.

While I have to say that's pretty creative... it's also pretty pathetic. It's sad how addiction can do so much.

I am surprised the prison doesn't have a dog to sniff everyone/everything that comes into the facility for drugs.

Seems to me that would be an easy solution.

Under a stamp? I don't really know anything about drugs (I guess that's a good thing

) but there's not a lot of room under a stamp. Can your really put enough drugs under a stamp to be worthwhile?! And I thought heroin was the one you inject? Where did she find a needle?

What a bizarre story...

I wonder if this is true.
Prisons open all incoming mail, and I am not sure, but i thought they removed the stamps before inmates get them, just for that reason.

Under a stamp? How can this be? I thought all mail was opened and pretty much gone thru before the inmate got it.......guess they get the envelope it comes in as well ~~~ Well, not any more.

HUH?! What will they think of next?
