I like animals, but I'm sure I would'nt be taken in by a scam such as that.
What's next, selling mail order mushrooms that don't exist?

Most of the puppy scammers are from cameroon africa and washington. They say they have these puppies for sale for cheap. All you have to do is send the money and the will ship them to you. They claim there relatives are sick or they work as reverends. you can tell them by there bad english and there non stop attemps at trying to get you to send the money. Google cameroon puppy scam and hundreds of web sites about it will pop up.

Yes, I answered an ad not long ago for a bulldog puppy that needed a home ASAP. Free, I knew that sounded too good. lol But had to try anyways. Well I was first contacted by someone that said I was going to be contacted by yet another person with shipping information.

I was then contacted by someone that told me the puppy was free but it was in Africa and I needed to contact them as to where I lived and then I would be told how much to send to them for shipping fees. ( I spammed their emails by then). lol

So tell me...how many people actually send shipping money for a dog in Africa and really think they are going to 'see' this dog?? There is no dog. You will never see your dog or your money ever again.

It is soo sad that people actually fall for this all the time. Please check out the website mentioned in the other comment and think before sending any $$ anywhere.

I too know all about these types of scammers. They almost suckered the hubby and me in on the sale of our truck. (We allowed this because at that time the hubby thought it was the real thing.) So when we finally received a check after many pissed off emails later our bank checked the check out. Put it on hold until it cleared their bank. To bad the check they sent us to cash was bogus!
I tried to tell my hubby this from the beginning (it sounded to good to be true) but he wanted to go all the way and then try to bust them with the government so they could be prosecuted to the maximum. Anyway…Beware of who and how, even where you do business. I think scammers will try anything and use everything imaginable to gain access to our money. I think they have even used employment options to get you involved in scams.

to this day I get crazy emails I think are scams but, I just delete them. For example:

Always be suspicious. Report anything that doesn't seem right. If it's legit, no harm.

The internet has globalized scamming. So you literally have millions of scammers that are after your money.

Do your research before you send money, not after.
