Farve for President

Now that Brett has retired from the Packers maybe he should run for president.
He would certainly be a better choice then what is out there now. He could even run as a green party candidate.

Re: Farve for President

On Tuesday when the retirement got out you'd think he was running for president. None of the Milwaukee news stations were covering election results. The only station running election results at 10:00 pm was in Spanish. I had to decipher what I could from the little bit of 9th grade Spanish I remember.

There's no denying that Brett Favre will go down as a legend who played awesome, loved the game and carried himself with dignity. It just worries me that we put more attention on sports figures and celebrities when we have an extremely critical election coming up. Brett Favre isn't going to be the one declaring war, spending tax dollars and lifting this country out of what is becoming The Great Depression II.

Re: Farve for President

Sure...the guy played the game well, seemed to really like what he was doing, had a great report with his peers and fans, but he cries too much to be president.

Re: Farve for President

I am not sure if he could get the delegates required to rap up the nomination but if it was based on popularity he would get it hands down! Brett Favre was very emotional at his press conference last week. He wears his emotions on his sleeve. What impressed me about Brett besides his awesome ability to play QB, Is the fact that he says all records and stats didn't mean that much to him. He just loved to play the game. How many people can you say that to nowadays.
