Nitschke became a full time starter in 1962, the anchor of a disciplined defense that helped win five NFL titles and the first two Super Bowls in the 1960s. He was the MVP of the 1962 NFL Championship game, accepting the prize of a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette. In the game, Nitschke recovered 2 fumbles and deflected a pass that was intercepted. The Packers won the game, 16-7. In Super Bowl I Nitschke contributed 6 tackles and a sack. In Super Bowl II Nitschke lead Green Bay's defense with 9 tackles.
Although Nitschke was known for his hard hitting, he was a good all-around linebacker who also intercepted 25 passes over his career. He was also known for being the best football player ever.
He was an All-Pro three consecutive seasons (1964-66), and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1978.
If you talk to the animals they will talk to you, If you do not talk to them you will not know them. And what you do not know you will fear. What one fears, one destroys. ~Chief Dan George. (1899 - 1981)
Ray gets my vote. I know a guy from Minnesota that was such a great admirer of Nitschke that he named his dog after him. Ray has a bridge named after him in Green Bay. He had such a vibrant toothless grin.
I can understand why a guy wouldn't name his dog Buttkiss.

Jerry Kramer. Not only did he help lead the way on the field, but he stays involved in the Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund to help former players from the era that did not get the big money the players see today.
So, I hope I'm getting this right, I guess by what you're trying to say is that CLAY MATTHEWS is your favorite all-time Green Bay Packer. Is that what you're trying to say, Veilie?
I noticed that you posted a link to an image of your choice for favorite all-time Green Bay Packer.

I think most players who ever wore the Green and Gold were great, especially all those mentioned above, they were all great motivators by words and actions.
I think the player with the most amount of class and dignity is Bart Starr
I wish Brett would have followed his path but that is another story, he may still come around.
Aaron Rodgers is on that path but it's still a wait an see for him.
My vote is for Bart Starr, two time winner of the Super bowl ring.
Now let's hope an agreement can be made soon between the NFL owners and players.

....Now, a very great man once said
That some people rob you with a fountain pen
It didn’t take too long to find out
Just what he was talkin’ about
A lot of people don’t have much food on their table
But they got a lot of forks ’n’ knives
And they gotta cut somethin’....

Think I would have to go with Jimmy Taylor. A tough, hard-nosed old school running back who punished tacklers. A key part of the Packers powerful running attack during the Lombardi glory years.
