I like a good mystery as much as the next person, and I'm not going to claim it answers this one, because it's second hand coming from me, 15 years removed and certainly doesn't account for everyone's stories. But. I went to college not far outside Walworth County, in 1993-1997. Two of the upperclassmen I went to college with were telling stories about this stretch of road in Walworth County (not just Bray Road itself) where they went in the fall once a month or so dressed up as werewolves to scare people on the road, kind of as a Halloween prank that lasted all fall. The favorite story, if I recall correctly, was about this teenage couple they found parking on the road and "really got them good". They were freshmen in 1991. Look at when the first story about the Beast was recorded: fall of 1991.

crys, are you saying that you and your crew/ilk are actually the beast of bray road?...or were you doing an impression?
I know of people that have seen the glowing red eyes in the dark. Some are reputable, others might have missed a medication regiment. Alot of people report seeing strange creatures in the night.
I say, if you believe these creatures exist, you probably believe that global warming is caused by man, and his use of fossil fuels.

We had heard the stories about the "Beast of Bray Road" when we lived in Elkhorn in the '90s. I was never brave enough to drive down that road even in the day light!
