This section is a place to codify some of the stories you have heard. Some of the Wisconsin beliefs or notions you laughed at and wondered if they were really true. Some of the stories where you may have felt a little saddness the first time you heard it.
Folklore and legends usually are based on a true event that over the years becomes convoluted because the story has been told so many times.
Perhaps other areas of Wisconsin or other people have heard the story slightly different or believe in the legend a completely different way.
