Try googling the keyword meet up with whatever party you are interested in, i.e. "Democrat meet up". There is a site that (I can't remember the specific address for) where you can register your local address and each time an event is planned for your area, they will notify you by email.

The site http://www.meetup.com is one of the most well-known websites for organizing specific-themed meetups amongst groups of individuals in an area.

A single search for 'democrat' with their search function returned 328 results country-wide:
