Hi My name is Cristine Crum, I curently live in Superior and am a member of a new group
of people that are working on the preservation of the twin ports Heritage.
The Group is call 100 & Going Strong! The Group currently consists of people of different age groups,backgrounds, but we are all looking for one thing. To preserve our local History! To do this the group is working on a celebration slated for the last weekend in September. A Birthday celebration if you will. The Winter street depot located at 1615 winter street turns 100, as well as the ELK"S LODGE. The Model T was born September 27th, 1908,and the list goes on and on.
!00 and growing Strong's celebration will be a weekend of events,celebrating all things that turn 100 this year.
We are looking for buildings,People, businesses, and especially organizations that turn 100 this year, so we can add them to our list of events. Superior and the twin ports area is filled with History, and the 100 and Growing strong Group feels it is something we need to cherish and keep alive.
The Group is hoping to turn this into an annual event.
