I am a volunteer foster parent for the dog rescue, Wisconsin German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue.
The rescue urgently needs more volunteers who are willing to foster this wonderful breed, so that we can take them out of shelters and into a temporary home until adopted.
I started volunteering for them in November, and fell in love with my foster dog. We ended up adopting him.
More importantly, the Wisconsin rescue took in two female GSP's this week, (Hope and Faith) for the GSP National Rescue. Normally, we mainly help out WI. dogs, since there are plenty of them who need homes.
The two females have been in two temporary situations already, and then ended up at a shelter in Iowa where they could have been euthanize if they stayed any longer.
If anyone would like to open their hearts temporarily, and become a foster parent to help oput oen of theses sweet dogs, please contact Lisa Rossman who is the rescue's president.
