Dog PAWS Nonprofit Organization (Pooches Off-Leash Across Wisconsin) is happy to announce that the location at Petrifying Springs Park in Kenosha County, which we proposed has been approved by the Kenosha County Parks and Highway Committee to be Kenosha's first off-leash Dog Exercise Park!
With this exciting news comes a larger responsibility for Dog PAWS, since we have volunteered to be the community group organizing fund-raising and donations towards the start-up construction costs of the dog exercise park. Approximately, $50,000 will need to be raised through donations from the community to pay for the materials chosen to build the Petrifying Springs Park dog exercise area.
We are asking for your help in raising the money needed to get the dog park off the ground, and operating by Summer or Fall 2006. Please consider joining Dog PAWS Organization by purchasing an annual membership. Our community group is supported entirely by membership dues and contributions.
Dog PAWS is dedicated to making our community a more dog-friendly place. Through sponsorship of a Kenosha dog park, advocacy, and special events, Dog PAWS is able to work successfully towards this mission. Please support us by joining today. Annual membership dues are only $20 for individuals and families; and $125 for Corporate/business members. Membership includes a frequent Dog PAWS Newsletter with updates on the progress of the off-leash dog park construction; and events sponsored by Dog PAWS in connection with the dog park.
Also, we are looking for Wisconsin residents to join Dog PAWS to help organize various areas, such as: being part of the donations committee, planning fundraising events, or being a spokesperson for possible media spotlight opportunites. If you are interested, please visit our website for more information.
