DOGS/PUPPIES/CATS KILLED -EVERY- WEEK FOR NO GOOD REASON!!
I have personally called this clinic and they are NOT for the animals. They were upset that these animals were being posted. I inquired about the last dog(small brown mutt) who had until Mon the 19th. I was personally advised that no-one wants to come in and feed/clean it this weekend so it would be put down at 5pm on the 19th. They advised all their kennels were empty and no exceptions even if a home was promised. I did get a rescue group out there in the nick of time, but its just all about money for them.
A person I know said to me " We tried to work out a deal to save these dogs and a vet at the clinic said to me, "This is a business. We don't do this out of the goodness of our hearts. " even to rescue them we had to pay $90 "
Almost -Every- week on a _Monday_ poor animals are put to sleep at the Lancaster Vet clinic,
So please help rescue these animals and before its too late!
Call the clinic at 608.723.6366
I would also love to be in a position to help the animals more. We now have 6 cats in this household and it is more than probably allowed by local legal, but hey, they are VERY well taken care of, VERY happy, and VERY loved.
Let me say that Walmart sells these great cheap sign-stakes with self adhesive on it. All one needs is some cardboard and a sharpie to make an instant sign anywhere, anytime. Maybe warning people dropping pets to a kill zone would help, but not solve this problem, but making it public might just grab the right persons attention, too. It's just an idea, but be wary of WHERE it's placed, and done so somewhat legally.
If it were PEOPLE being put down it would be different, but, as gaurdians of Gods creatures, we should be responsible for it at least. So... DO something is the way to go, such as postingit for more to see. KUDOS on whistle blowing for those who cannot themselves!!!

maybe you should offer to adopt every dog. After all, what happens when a dog has been there a month or longer and nobody claims it or adopts it? Who picks up the fees? Does the state reimburse these folks for acting as a pound? Maybe these folks aren't the evil people you think they are. Maybe history and situation have dictated their policy. Why are these dogs here in the first place - maybe we should be giving more scrutiny to those folks.
Just wanted to throw out some additional food for thought - before we judge all associated in your original post.

That's just it...they are not, from the sounds of it, a humane society...and therefore, receive no assistance. The veterinary care, the building, the upkeep, the space, and the employee costs are ALL out of that clinic's pocket. From the postings on another site (and this one), there seems to be large numbers of dogs that end up there. Yeah, sometimes there are reasons, legitimate reasons; but I think that's the exception to the rule.
