Proheart6 Back on the market

Our view on drug safety: FDA vet tracks dog deaths, gets smeared in the process - Yahoo! News

This product was pulled a few years ago, killed almost 600 dogs and had "adverse affects" on almost 6000 more.

They say the removed the solvent residue the "think caused the problem" and put it back on the market.

What is interesting is the way the veternarian who discovered the problems was treated during this time.

Re: Proheart6 Back on the market

Yep, just "follow the money".

My 12 year old Auggie has had NO heart worm or fle/tick preventative since '99.
Twice a year I get her heart worm tested and she has been negative for heart worm every time. And during many of those years of no protection we have spent two weeks each Spring and Fall in the South (Alabama - Georgia).

Also, Auggie has never had fleas! Go figure....
