Any Doxie Lovers or Owners out there?

I bought my first doxie last Summer. Actually he is a mini doxie. I have to say I LOVE him so much. They are VERY smart and stubborn too! I would love to get another one but not sure if my Husband would let me LOL

He is so smart and loveable. He gives me hugs and kisses all the time. I was scared when I first got him since everyone told me they are such stubborn dogs, and that I would have trouble training him. Actually he was pretty easy. He never has accidents at all. He goes right to the door when he has to go. The only thing I don't like is when he is laying with me or on me and the kids come over to kiss on him or maybe even take him. He gets so made and growls at them and at times snaps

Anyone know why? Any ideas?

I have a mini doxie, not by choice......she is actually my sons dog, but he can not have her where he lives so she has been with me for about a year year now.

She loves to wear her pearl collar and her dress. She also ejoys hiding under covers and in things.

Hi,
I am a Doxie love, we live up in superior Wisconsin and we have 2.
Rebel is a mini also,though he does weight 13 lbs, but he is not over weight at all we keep both our doxies slim and trim. He is black and tan with silver splotches, he is what is called a silver dapple. We bought him 8 years ago from a breeder in Birchwood Wisconsin, and I will never go back to owning any other kind of dog, they are the most loving, friendliest dogs in the world.
Last July we breed rebel with a female in lake Nebagamon, we really waned another boy, but the mother had only girls, 3 to be exact, and we fell in love with one of them, and being we had the pick of the litter option, Well we took one home, her name is Ruby, she will be 1 in july, she is also a dapple ,but not a silver one.
She has the sweetest disposition she weighs about 7 pounds. I will try and post pictures of them the next time i stop in.
