Got a question for one of the ASPCA’s finest?
What’s your favorite rescue story? What’s it like being filmed for Animal Precinct? The toughest case you were involved in? What should I do if I see someone abusing an animal?
If you’re a fan of Animal Precinct, the award-winning documentary series on Animal Planet featuring the ASPCA’s Humane Law Enforcement agents, you’ve seen our animal cops in action. Paul Romano
Special Investigator for Humane Law Enforcement
Special investigator Romano joined the organization in September 1998. Prior to working at the ASPCA, investigator Romano was a lieutenant peace officer for a private housing complex in New York City for 12 years. It was in this capacity that he became interested in humane law enforcement after numerous interactions with ASPCA Humane Law Enforcement agents. It is his hope that crimes involving animals will eventually be viewed as seriously as crimes involving people. Investigator Romano resides in New York with his wife, children and dog.
