Hickory Nut Cookies
Cream butter in a bowl. Add sugars and cream well. Add egg and vanilla, cream well. Sift flour and baking soda into creamed mixture and blend together. Add nuts and mix well. Drop teaspoons of dough onto greased cookie sheet. Make depression in the center of each cookie before baking and after. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes. Let cool.
Frosting: Melt butter and chocolate in saucepan. Add milk and salt, stir until blended. Heat thoroughly and remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, stir until smooth. Place frosting into depression of each cookie.
