Mini Cream Puffs
Author: demon71
Time:
5 minutes
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
6
Description
This is a very simple yet elegant dessert that can be made in a matter of minutes. I have the puffs (the shells of the cream puffs) custom made at the bakery. I think that almost any bakery would be willing to make these if you plan ahead. I order the puffs about 1/2 the size of a regular cream puff shell. These taste great, look great and everyone will think that you spent hours preparing such a wonderful treat.
Ingredients
  • 6 cream puff shells
  • 1 cup of strawberries
  • 1 cup of blueberries
  • 1 cup of raspberries
  • 4 teaspoons of powdered sugar
  • chocolate syrup
Preparation
No prior preparation is required.
Instructions
  1. Slice the puffs in half and place them into a preheated 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes.
  2. Combine the fruit in a bowl.
  3. Remove the puffs from the oven and place the bottom half on a saucer or in a bowl.
  4. Add a scoop of ice cream (I use butter pecan) to the puff and place a scoop of the fruit on top of the ice cream.
  5. Cover with the top half of the puff.
  6. Add another small scoop of fruit on the top.
  7. Drizzle some of the chocolate syrup on top and sprinkle with the powdered sugar.
  8. Serve immediately.
  9. Try whatever fruits may be in season. Fresh fruits always make a better dessert.
