Grilled Peaches
Author: demon71
Time:
10 minutes
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
4
Description
Grilled peaches?? Who would think that this could be so good. Well I like to try almost anything and if I can do it using the grill or smoker all the better. This is a simple recipe that can be done at the last minute. This can easily be adapted to serve as many people as needed.
Ingredients
  • 4 large peaches
  • brown sugar
  • balsamic vinager
  • dark rum
  • butter
  • salt
Preparation
No prior preparation is required.
Instructions
  1. Combine 4 tablespoons of butter, 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, one tablespoon of balsamic vinager, 1/4 cup of dark rum and a pinch or 2 of salt in a small pan and heat for a couple of minutes on low heat to dissolve the sugar and melt the butter.
  2. Wash and cut the peaches in half and remove the pits. Brush the cut side with olive oil to keep them from sticking to the grill.
  3. Grill the peaches place face down for about 3 minutes, turn and frequently spoon or brush the ingredients from the sauce pan on to the peaches for the next 3 or 4 minutes. Remove from the grill and serve in a bowl with a scoop of you favorite ice cream.
  4. Spoon a little of the sauce on top of the ice cream if desired.
  5. I think that this same recipe could be used for a variety of fruit such as apples, peaches, strawberries, or bananas. Try it an see.
