Description
"This is a great conversation piece at parties. Adults love it as much as the children do. Get a new garden trowel, medium sized flower pot and artificial flower at a craft store for full effect."
Note: I too tried to save calories by omitting the butter, using fat free cream cheese and whipped cream, and reduced fat oreos, and this still came out delicious. I agree with previous reviewers who said 2 packages of Oreos might be too much. I used about one and a half and it was perfect. This is a delightful recipe!
Believe it or not, I used fat free whipped topping and cream cheese, sugar free pudding, and low fat sandwich cookies. I also used just 6 tbsp. of reduced fat margarine. It was still an incredible dessert.
I made this for an adult dinner party by changing the following: I did layers of "dirt" and creamy filling in a large glass bowl (so the layers can be seen). On top I put chopped fresh fruit -- strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and kiwi. It was a huge hit. I have also made it in individual serving dishes with the fruit on top, which makes for a beautiful presentation.
