Description
This is a spiced hot fudge pudding cake - I had several recipes for various fudge pudding cakes and experimented to find my favorite combination. This one is special because of the cinnamon and nutmeg.
|
| Ingredients |
- 1 cup flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp butter - melted
- 3 Tbsp cocoa
- Sauce:
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp cocoa
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 2/3 cup water
|
| Preparation |
|
No prior preparation is required.
|
| Instructions |
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, melted butter and cocoa in a bowl - set aside.
- Make sauce - mix together sauce ingredients in a pan and bring to boil. Pour into an 8x8 inch cake pan or baking dish - then drop batter all over by spoonfuls. Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes.
- Serve warm with real whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
