How do you use WD40?
as I was discussing our snow fall and how wet it appears to me from the office window I came up with this idea.
I use WD40 to lubricate my snowblower chute and auger area to eliminate possible clogging of wet snow. For the most part this works ok for me.
My question to you bubblerites out there is ...
What use do you have for WD40? and how well does it work in that application?
Please share your ideas here.
Or what you would like to see WD40 be capable of doing.
For me sometimes the web is slow and I would like to see it speed-up, wouldn't be nice if a little shot of WD40in the USB port, would brings those pages up quicker?
I think every tool box should have
a Hammer
roll of duct tape
WD40
and
a vise grips.
I was once told that "if the only tool you have is a hammer , all your problems look like nails."

Ive been told, never tried this, but its supposed to work good as a fish attractant if sprayed on your tackle. As far as a toolbox goes...if its broken...duct it!

I use it on the car door so my doors dont freeze shut in bad storms.
I can't survive with out bundgie cords, duct tape, zipper strips, and a hammer. Of the 4, zipper strips are my favorite. I have many sizes and colors.
They also make a great toy for the coons. Some reason they go crazy over them and will climb anything to get to the containers.
They are now hid in the fridge....until they learn how to open that door!

WD40 seems to do a fine job when it comes to dissolving gunk from tools, and is also a good tar remover, not to mention it's above average lubricating qualities.
I've found WD40 to be not my first choice when I want something lubed in the kitchen, such as my food scissors, or a can opener. For these items, I like to use my light cooking oil spray.

A tar remover?!! Interesting. Do you think it works better then GOOP?
(have you used goop?)
Not WD40 related, but I like to use the Liquid Rid-X (for septic) to clean up animal mishaps off my carpet or couch. It works great. It also removes spaghetti sauce and other stains from clothes.

WD40 is great for getting the burs and tangles out of a horse's mane and tail. Keeps them from chewing on each other's mane too.
It does make good catfish attractant, We used to spray it on chicken liver and let it set , got great results. Not sure if it is LEGAL in this state though.
Gonna go try the Rid-X on my carpet and see if it gets out all the spots my toddlers seem to leave behind

Spray WD-40 on your satellite dish, the snow will slide off and will not interrupt the signal.

OK for everyone that loves to use WD40, I found the perfect website for you to check out. It lists 2000 uses for the stuff, but it does have this section at the top so I thought I better pass this along before I add the website link.:
2000 Unofficial Uses for WD-40
The uses of WD-40 described on this web site were provided to WD-40 Company by end-users of the product, and do not constitute recommendations or suggestions for use of WD-40 by WD-40 Company. These uses have not been tested by WD-40 Company. Consumers should exercise common sense whenever using WD-40. Always follow the instructions and take heed of any warnings printed on the WD-40 packaging.

I really checked out the 2000 uses thinking they would have a lot of funny (haha) type things listed. But really it is a very thought out list of uses for this stuff.
There was a few listed that got a chuckle from me such as:
Cleans gum from chicken feathers
Removes stubborn stuck-on leg wax
Spray on balcony to keep pigeons away (they hate the smell)
But a couple really seemed interesting to keep in mind:
Spray on poster board and let dry to provides interesting texture/base for art
Spray lightly over stagnant water to keep mosquito eggs from hatching.
Check it out and tell us the ones you will keep as an idea to use someday.

Believe it or not LOL sounds like Ripleys I have severe arthritis in my left hand and were times that it hurt so bad that I couldnt use it at all then a very elderly man who lives down the road noticed that I wasnt using my hand and asked me what was wrong so I told him and he went to his cupboard in his kitchen and told me to use WD-40 on my left hand and rub it in, I thought to myself this poor old guy is really getting senile but I did it and after a 1/2 hour he asked me how my hand was and I was literally shocked it worked NO PAIN!!!! I couldnt believe it but it works for me and I use it reguarily. It does smell much better than BenGay. So there is another use. Ya all are probably thinkin Im nuts but try it and if it doesnt help then I must be nuts cause I swear it works for me. Nutty Jimi

Actually this is very interesting since I also have arthritis. But I think I have to hear of more people rubbing this in before I run out to replace my Bath and Body lotion with WD40! lol
