A message from Sharon McNeiley-Time is running out! THIS SUNDAY!
This spring Sharon will take part in a journey that has been making a difference for 20 years in the lives of those who live with multiple sclerosis (MS). Sharon is a 51 year old female diagnosed with primary progressive multiple sclerosis. It took over 6 years to even get a diagnosis of MS.
Every hour of every day someone is diagnosed with MS, a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. The disease affects people in very different ways, from loss of balance to impaired vision to paralysis, and the hope for a cure rests with continued research.
WALK MS brings together more than 13,000 walkers and volunteers from 13 communities throughout the state, all walking for a world free of multiple sclerosis. Events, like Walk MS, allow the National MS Society to support cutting-edge research, improve public policy and enhance quality of life through programs and services. The Wisconsin chapter has helped Sharon with assistive technology and we hope many othes can be helped.
Please help us make a difference in the lives of those touched by this challenging disease by contributing to the 2008 Walk MS. Sharon’s goal is to raise at least $3000.00. Sharon recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society - Wisconsin Chapter. Please help her in this important project by contributing generously as she participates in the Wisconsin, Brown County - Walk MS 2008, April 20th. Although Sharon requires a wheelchair, she will participate right alongside of those who still have the use of their legs.
