Special Mother's Day Surprises Delivered In Waunakee
WAUNAKEE, Wis. -- Local moms got a special gift delivered right to their front door this Mother's Day.
The Waunakee Neighborhood Connection delivered 170 special pampering packages to area mothers in need.
The package contained chocolate, perfume and a long-stemmed red rose among other things.
"We wanted to recognize the women that may go unrecognized on Mother's Day," said connection spokesperson Angela Docherty. "Maybe those moms don't have the finances to pamper themselves."
More than a dozen volunteers delivered the packages in person.
