They sound great! I'm assuming these places are in Waukesha? We had some family friends we used to go visit there when we lived in Genoa City...back in the mid '70s. I haven't been there since then. They have since moved to Watertown now.

No, Soup Brothers and LaMeranda are in the Walkers Point area, Lulu is in Bayview, and Juniper61 is in Wauwatosa - 61st and North - the old Jake's. I obviously don't mind driving a few miles.

Lately we've been trying new places for breakfast or lunch since my husband if off of work for a while and once he goes back we won't have as much free time.
We had good breakfast at Original Pancake House in Brookfield. Try the Dutch Baby or the German Apple Pancake.
Gus's Diner in Sun Prairie has some different choices. I had eggs benedict with smoked salmon and my husband had a charizo sausage and egg scrambler. There was a shrimp omelette I wanted to try also.
Capitol Cafe in Brookfield had some good crepes and pancakes.
Oconomowoc Depot (they also own Maxim's on Capitol Dr.) had some different breakfast items like raspberry & dark chocolate crepes, which was the special the day I went.
We don't usually go out for breakfast unless on vacation, but just wanted to try those things we can't normally get to during the week.

I LOVE Gus's Diner... found it on accident the first time I took some kitties for a spay. The Spay Me Clinic is right behind Gus's. Somewhere on the bubbler I have a post about Gus's. Have not had a bad meal there yet.
I like Gus's, but I miss it when it was Five & Diner. There's a few items on the menu that I miss like the Elvis shake which was peanut butter, banana and chocolate.

Oh I didn't know it back then when it was Five & Diner.
I had some sort of Elvis burger there not too long ago. Different to say the least, I was in a "brave and testing" state of mind and had a burger topped with pineapple.
Figured if I didn't like it I could remove the pineapple easy enough. To my surprise it was a great burger!! And the onion rings were perfect.
I've had pineapple on a chicken sandwich, but never a burger. I've had banana and peanut butter on an Elvis burger at Bubba's in Pewaukee. Ended up picking off the bananas. There was a money back guarantee if you didn't like it, so what the heck, right?
Five & Diner had a different menu than Gus's, but other than that they kept the place the same. I just love old '50s style diners. Used to like going to Mel's Diner in the Johnson Creek outlet mall a while back before they closed.
