I don't usually buy too many fast food burgers. I like Culver's best.
I avoid mustard and onions on my burgers. I don't even like the smell of mustard. I won't eat mayo on a burger, but I eat it on other sandwiches. I won't touch Thousand Island dressing either.
I haven't gone to Hardees, Burger King or McD's in years. I don't go to Wendy's either since the last time I had to eat it (on a road trip and the only option) it was terrible.
If I want a burger, I go for a good one. It can be a bar & grill burger or from a restaurant where I have to sit and wait for my order. Well worth the wait.
Culver's with lettuce, tomato and mayo or mostly I get just plain with pickles.
Burger King. Love their double burger for 2.00. Usually all burgers I get with just pickles but I actually like their sauce and I think it's a thousand island sauce of which I usually dislike. Go figure that one out. lol
I also love the Burger King JR Whopper with lettuce, mayo and tomatoes. Guess I like their flame broil taste.
McDonald's is much lower on my list but will eat it if I am really hungry and in a huge hurry. I get the dollar Mcdouble, pickles only. The problem with their burgers is the really salty taste. Yuck. I rarely use salt so it really stands out when I eat something from this place.
The worse has to be Wendy's since they made their burgers smaller now. Not sure about the rest of the menu since we stay on the dollar menu but the buck one is cheap, dry, smaller, and not good now.
Not sure if THE SPOT is considered a fast burger but it's a really great place we have in Kenosha. It's a drive in, car hop kind of place with the best burgers around. The double steak is really awesome. It's is pricey for a burger so we seldom go there but it's a great place. Fantastic root beer too!
I don't know if a drive-in is fast food or not since you have to wait for your order. I thought about that too, because then I'd add Wayne's Drive-in to the list. Love their burgers even as messy as they can be.
I always get ketchup and pickles on a burger if I'm not getting something like a bacon cheeseburger or a mushroom swiss. That would be for plain burgers or regular cheeseburgers. BBQ sauce is good on a burger too. Burgers have really come a long way when it comes to toppings. I've seen a lot of different toppings used.
If I eat a burger, which I don't very often, then I prefer the Whopper from Burger King. Second would be one from Hardees. They have to have tomato, onion, cheese, mayo and catsup on them...no lettuce though. I don't care much for burgers from other places and will usually order something else instead.
Tomatoes are one thing I won't eat on a burger. I'm picky about what I eat tomatoes on. Some sandwiches are ok and others I pick it off. If it doesn't taste right together, then off if goes.
I'll still take a burger from some place other than fast food. Give me a Red Robin, Chili's, Steak & Lube, Bigg's Bar (Watertown), Water Street Brewery, AJ Bombers, Wicked Hop, Milwaukee Ale House, Rock Bottom Brewery, Applebee's, TGI Friday's, etc, etc, before I eat a fast food. I guess I've sampled a lot of burgers and other sandwiches as well.
I love burgers from most anywhere except I can't stand Red Robbin burgers. >.< lol.
My favorite fast food burger is from McDonalds. We rarely get them anymore but when we do it's a highlight of the day. I normally don't add salt to things so it's like a special little treat.

Was on a Hardee's kick for awhile.. but generally, Burger King is tops with me for a fast food burger. I do like the Bacon Jr. Double Cheeseburgers at Wendy's too.

Use to stop at Wendys but their bugers got smaller, higher in price, and then they use sea salt on their fries. That lost it for us as my daughter is very allergic to sea salt. To many other good places to go to anyways.

I think we have every burger place here (almost) but we don't have a Hardee's. Have to go to Racine to get a burger from them. They have changed alot over the years and much better IMO.
We usually stop on our way back from (or to) the casino..
