Mine is never very long since I don't do a whole weeks shopping at once anymore. It used to be routine on Fridays to go to the bank, go out to eat and do grocery shopping for the next weeks groceries. When both of the boys were still living at home 10 years ago, it wasn't uncommon to spend $150 or more a week. Those days are long gone. I'm in town so often during the week now that I just stop and pick up what I think I need at the time. I spend less money that way and less food gets thrown out that expired because we never ate it.
Man, we are getting some crappy weather here! It's raining hard with sleet mixed in. I just got back from making a run to Wal Mart to buy some of that tape that you use to hem clothes that adheres with a hot iron. I was going to hem a shirt that I've never worn because it is too long when I realized it would be much easier to use that tape stuff. Duh!
I also stopped at Kwik Trip to get some milk and they were giving away fish sandwiches and hamburgers since they are only allowed to keep them in the hot thingy for so long. I brought home two of the fish ones and I must say they aren't too bad, although I think McDonald's is better.
Actually we have been doing alot better with groceries. I've been trying my best to use no more than 80.00 a week for the 3 of us and with a teenage son that is not an easy thing to do. Helps that I do have a freezer full of meat etc downstairs to take from too. And Easter Ham was really cheap and we are eating ham all kinds of ways.

150.00 a week wasn't uncommon around here and that would be the main trip to the grocery store for the week. Then the extra trips back for milk, or bread, or something forgotten, or a craving. Yes, our receipts could be quite long, especially if you count pasting the little receipts during the week to it too. lol
But my longest receipts I think would be from the trips to Woodman's. That place carries everything. I now try to avoid that store or I will totally over spend.
OK, just a another random thought....the longest would definately have to be right before Thanksgiving Dinner!! We cook up a ton of food and everything is homemade. Yup, has to be right before then.
mine used to be $150 now I do couponing and get that price now to $40.00 First I write down all the food sale items for that week for walmart. They price match. then stop at copps and get their sale items with coupons and manufacturing coupons do the same for festival..

awesome savings a rep point for you.
Since my wife has been ill I have been doing the shopping.
I use go festival & Copps for all the coupon items That I will use and Woodman's and Aldis for the remainder. That does consume a lot of time, but I have much more time than money.
I have heard about a 12 week sale cycle on food but never investigated it. That maybe my next step.

....Now, a very great man once said
That some people rob you with a fountain pen
It didn’t take too long to find out
Just what he was talkin’ about
A lot of people don’t have much food on their table
But they got a lot of forks ’n’ knives
And they gotta cut somethin’....
