Re: Thanksgiving: What's For Dinner?

Our dinner menu, so far, consists of turkey, mashed potatoes with home made gravy, sweet corn, stuffing, deviled eggs, cowboy beans, cheese and crackers, white bark pretzels, venison sausage, a relish tray with olives, carrots, celery, pickles, broccoli and cauliflower, three kinds of dip - chipped beef, onion dip and a garlic cheese spread.

Desserts include home made pumpkin, cherry, and apple pies along with chocolate and banana pudding pies. There will also be brownies and peanut butter bars and I'm going to try to make a peanut butter pie too. No one will go home away hungry from here.

So far that I know of:

2 Turkeys (almost 25 and 18 lbs) with home made stuffing.

Mashed potatoes with sour cream, and real butter.

Home made gravy.

Green Bean casserole.

Cauliflower/Broccoli/cheese casserole

dinner rolls.

whole cranberry sauce.

deviled eggs.

relish tray with pickles, olives, celery with cream cheese, carrots, dip etc.

home made coleslaw.

The very best home made Apple Pies with topping and whipped cream.

Home made Pumpkin Pies.

Home made Pumpkin Cheese Cake

not sure but we usually do up several other cream cheese pies, cherry, blueberry etc. but I think we are doing an old family recipe cherry cream cheese with a special crust in a larger pan.

Well that is what I know so far.

Oh yeah..appetizers to hold everyone off will consists of platters of different types of cheese/ crackers/sausage etc.

Yup..no one leaves here hungry either.
