I love Hell's Kitchen and cooking shows in general.. now here comes The Chopping Block.
Hosted by Marco Pierre White, the man who made Gordon Ramsay cry:
White is the same chef, after all, who once published a picture of his former mentee, but now bitter rival, Gordon Ramsay, crying in a corner after a particularly bad night in the kitchen, and routinely let problem diners know that they were no longer welcome by having his waiters simply clear their table, down to the tablecloth.
Two teams of four couples running neighboring restaurants in Manhattan, with one couple being removed each week based on the decision of Marco Pierre White.
I still have not found the time to watch this! I wanted to make a point of it last night & a friend invited me to dinner & to chit chat a bit... i needed the break from caring for the injured & off i went... hope to get a chance tonight.
The teams learn about cooking with natural foods. Later, during a one-hour cooking contest, the teams compete for assistance from a top maître d' during the next challenge, in which they're tasked to incorporate natural foods into their dinner service. Their performances are then rated by each diner using a Zagat rating form.
Haha, you know.. I'd completely forgotten about this show! But I'll tell you, I didn't care much for the way the host looked.. not sure I'd want him around my food either!

I agree, he does look like he doesn't know what a brush is, much less soap & water.
To be honest, I think that's one of the reasons I stopped watching the show..
I have been keeping up with Hell's Kitchen.. but that another thread!
I searched for a hells kitchen thread earlier tonight (i watch that as well) & didnt come up with one.. Gordon is much more fun to watch, whether it be hells kitchen or kitchen nightmares.
