How much is fresh Sweet Corn going for....

How much is fresh Sweet Corn going for in your neck of the woods?

Please note any exceptional produce stands or Farmers Markets and give the skinny on the location, prices, quality, etc....

Anything out there worth going out of your way for?

Regards,
Keith

I shopped the local CowTown Piggly Wiggly, where I found Sweet Corn on sale at 3 ears for a dollar. That amounts to $4 for a dozen.
I know there's a farmers market on certain days in Chilton. I asked the operator for the down low on it, but haven't as of yet received ant information on the activities there. I know it held at Klinkner Memorial Park, located at the corner of U.S. Hi way 151 and Wisconsin Hi way 57.
I'll have more information on this farmers market shortly.

pk will become famous soon enough

I really love going to our kenosha market place on our lakefront on Saturdays. It has a little of everything. Food cooking, usually someone singing, fresh fruit, veggies, crafts, even doggie treats all located here.

It's always like a small festival.

Here's a section of their web page and website location:

The Kenosha HarborMarket is unique among markets in the Chicago / Milwaukee corridor, unique, because it is out of the ordinary. Although vendors will sell fruit and vegetables, the vendors must grow their produce and special emphasis is given to organic and sustainable agriculture methods. Also the injection of fine arts and entertainment will create a life and an ambiance not otherwise available in the area.

My kids pick corn for Ingresoll Farm. Last year I had so much corn I did not know what to do with it. This year I've only had corn twice.
No picking yesterday or today because of the weather. And the week before last they took off for 3 days to let the corn get bigger.

Corn and Brats sound great for dinner tonight!!
(no beets, mushrooms or brussel sprouts)
